NWS Confirms 21 Tornadoes Hit Illinois On June 11 

MOLINE –  The National Weather Service is confirming that at least 21 tornadoes hit Illinois last Thursday.  Tornadoes touched down throughout the region, including an EF-3 rated twister in Streator. Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms also led to flooding in some locations, particularly in parts of far northern Illinois.
