New Mural Project Begins at Rochelle VFW

ROCHELLE – The Rochelle VFW has started work on a new mural on the back of its building, with artist Matt Steder leading the project. After years of discussion, the VFW selected Steder following his successful work on another downtown mural. The artwork is expected to help identify the entrance, draw attention to the building, and improve the area’s appearance. Preparation and sketching are underway, with painting expected to begin shortly. The mural adds to the many ongoing improvements at the VFW, including interior upgrades and a completed city-backed parking lot.
