SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County Community Foundation is participating in the new Illinois Gives Tax Credit program, offering a 25% state income tax credit to donors who contribute to eligible endowed funds at qualified community foundations. Effective January 1, 2025, the program allows donors to maximize the impact of their charitable gifts while gaining valuable tax benefits. Eligible funds at the DeKalb County Community Foundation include Endowed Community Impact Funds, Designated Funds, Field of Interest Funds, and Scholarship Funds. To participate, donors must register through MyTax Illinois, apply for a Contribution Authorization Certificate, and complete their donation within 15 days.
