New Commissioners Join DeKalb Park District Board

DEKALB — The DeKalb Park District welcomed three new Commissioners, Dean Bourdages, Tia Anderson, and Michelle Foster, during its May 15th board meeting, coinciding with the annual election of board officers. David Castro was unanimously elected Board President, with Brian Tobin as Vice President and Anderson as Treasurer. Foster and Bourdages will serve as Commissioners, while Superintendent of Finance and Administration Jenny Schneider will act as Board Secretary. The five-member board serves unpaid four-year terms. The new appointments follow the departure of longtime members Dag Grada, Gail A. Krmenec, and Doug Eaton, who together contributed years of volunteer service and leadership.
