Mount Morris Women Injured in Ogle County Crash

MT. MORRIS — Two Mount Morris women were injured Tuesday night in a single vehicle crash west of Oregon. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 11:30 p.m. to the intersection of North Ridge Road and West Camp Road. Authorities said a minivan traveling southbound left the roadway for unknown reasons, entered the west ditch, struck a field entrance, became airborne, and landed upright before coming to rest. The driver, a 39-year-old Mount Morris woman, and a 55-year-old passenger from Mount Morris were taken by Mount Morris EMS to OSF Saint Katharine Medical Center with suspected minor injuries. The driver was cited for failure to reduce speed, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and improper lane usage. She was given a future court date. Deputies were assisted by the Mount Morris Police Department, Polo Police Department, and Mount Morris EMS.
