Mill Road Bridge Near Byron Closed for Repairs Through August

BYRON – The Mill Road Bridge near Shadow Wood Drive west of Byron will be closed for an extended period as crews work to replace the bridge deck and improve the roadway approach. Starting Monday, Mill Road will be closed to through traffic between Illinois Route 72 and Shadow Wood Drive, with the closure expected to last until around August 22nd. The project, located in Byron Township and contracted to Martin & Company, will cost approximately $640,000.
