ROCHELLE — Dozens of women skydivers from across the country will gather June 13-15 at Chicagoland Skydiving Center for the Midwest’s largest female-led skydiving event, part of the U.S. Parachute Association’s Sisters in Skydiving program. Open to all experience levels, the three-day event will feature organized jumps, coaching, mentorship, community dinners, live music, raffles, and a neon theme.
Lauren Pfeiffer, Skydiving Instructor at Chicagoland Skydiving Center, said she hopes to get more women interested in the sport.
According to the USPA, when they run their membership totals, females only make up about 13% of the entire skydiving world out there.
Participants are expected from across the U.S., including Utah, California, and beyond.
