MENDOTA – The Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce is preparing for a family-friendly fireworks celebration at Lake Mendota on June 28th, with gates opening at 7 p.m. and fireworks beginning at dusk. The event will feature food trucks, face painting, and games. Admission and parking are free. The celebration marks the start of a busy summer in Mendota, which will continue with the 78th annual Sweet Corn Festival scheduled for August 7–10 in downtown Mendota.
