AMBOY – A man died Monday afternoon in Lee County after coming into contact with a power line while trimming trees. The Amboy Fire Department say they were called just after 4 PM to an alley behind 46 North Blackstone in Amboy for a subject who was on a scissor lift who was unresponsive.
Amboy Fire Chief Duane Dickison said they called a MABAS Box Alarm for the Technical Rescue Team, drawing other resources to the scene, including the Dixon City and the Dixon Rural Fire Department.
First responders remained on the scene for around two hours. The investigation into the incident is ongoing by the Amboy Fire Department, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Lee County Coroner. The man’s identity has not been released.
