ROCKFORD – A man is accused of robbing a United States Post Office in Rockford at gunpoint. Police say Anthony Johnson entered the Post Office at 1140 Broadway on Tuesday, demanded money from the postal clerk, and displayed a handgun. After taking the cash, he fled the scene. Johnson was arrested Wednesday as detectives were attempting to execute a search warrant at his home.
