ROCHELLE – One man is in custody after a knife assault Thursday night in Rochelle. Rochelle Police responded to the 200 block of Lincoln Hwy at 8:30 PM, where 39-year-old Zachary Richards of Rochelle allegedly injured one person with a knife. The victim was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital for treatment. Richards was arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon and aggravated battery in a public place. He is currently being held at the Ogle County Jail ahead of a pretrial hearing.
