DIXON – A 47-year-old Dixon man was sentenced to 10 years in prison this week after pleading guilty to methamphetamine distribution charges following a search warrant at his home in 2024. The investigation, led by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Illinois State Police – Blackhawk Area Task Force, uncovered evidence of James Ballard’s involvement in the delivery and possession of methamphetamine. He was charged with several counts of methamphetamine delivery and possession, including a Class X felony.
