DIXON – The Lee County family planning medical director, Dr. John Plescia, has stepped down after his employer, OSF Healthcare bought KSB Hospital in Dixon. OSF’s policies on reproductive care, which are based on Catholic doctrine, were cited as the reasons for Dr. Plescia’s resignation. He had been serving Lee County on a volunteer basis. The Lee County Health Department has named Dr. Christine Doyle as its new family planning doctor.
