AMBOY — The Lee County Fair and 4-H Show will take place July 24th through 27th at the Lee County 4-H Center and Fairgrounds in Amboy, featuring truck and tractor pulls, a Saturday rodeo, youth livestock judging, food vendors, and family activities. Gates open at noon on Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday through Sunday. Daily admission is $5, with children 12 and under admitted free, and a $35 Fun Pass includes all four days and grandstand events. Highlights include the Kids Corner Day, barrel train, remote-controlled racing, and the corn box play area.
Katie Pratt, Secretary with the Lee County Fair Association, said members of the community not invoved in 4-H can still participate in the show.
“We’re really excited that we have so many opportunities for not only our youth, but for every community member to participate at the fair,” she said.
“Our fair encompasses our 4-H show for Lee County 4-H members of course, but then also the junior show which is for youth ages 8 to 21 as of September 1st of 2024 from any county. And then of course we have our open show which is coming into its third year. The open show is open for anyone of any age from anywhere.”
