DIXON – Lee County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) will host the National Weather Service Community Weather Preparedness Seminar on March 4th at 6 PM. at Sauk Valley Community College, room 1K04. The free seminar will cover various weather hazards typical of spring and summer, including thunderstorms, heat waves, and beach safety. The training, suitable for anyone aged 10 and older, aims to educate attendees on how to stay safe, interpret forecasts, and contribute to their communities. The session will be led by an NWS Chicago meteorologist and will last approximately two hours.
