AMBOY — The Lee County 4H Fair will return to the Lee County Fairgrounds in Amboy from July 23 through 26 with livestock shows, 4 H project judging, family activities and grandstand entertainment. New attractions this year include Pro Wrestling EPIC on Thursday, a LEGO building contest with state fair qualification opportunities and a butter sculpting contest on Saturday.
“We’re doing something a little out of the box, kind of crazy. We’re doing a butter sculpting contest,” Lee County 4 H Fair Association Secretary Katie Pratt said. Pratt said participants will receive a one pound block of butter and create their own sculptures during the event.
Returning favorites include the tractor and truck pull on Friday, the rodeo with T and A Bucking Bulls on Saturday, the County Fair Speedway, petting zoo, pony rides, community exhibits and a marketplace vendor fair on Sunday.
