MOUNT MORRIS — A 49-year-old Ogle County man was charged with disorderly conduct after deputies determined a reported shooting was false. Deputies responded around 3 p.m. Tuesday to the 2000 block of North Leaf River Road near Mount Morris for a report of a shooting. After investigating, deputies found that no shooting had occurred and all residents were safe. Joshua S. McQuality of Leaf River was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct for making a false police report. He was taken to the Ogle County Jail and later released with a notice to appear in court.
