OREGON – The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon will host “Frontline Females,” a free, three-day law enforcement camp from June 2nd through the 4th, running 8 AM to 4 PM each day. Open to participants 16 and older, the camp will highlight careers in patrol, investigations, communications, corrections, and probation through interactive training and scenario-based learning. Various agencies, including SWAT, crime scene technicians, and drug recognition experts, will offer presentations. Deputy Ali VanVickle said space is limited.
“We have a max of 15 attendees just to keep it limited for the first go around, try and make sure we get everything worked out because we’re hoping to make this an annual thing,” she said.
Registration is available via a QR code on the sheriff’s office Facebook page. The Ogle County Sheriff’s Office is located at 202 South First Street in Oregon.
