Justice Neville to Succeed Theis as Illinois Chief Justice in October

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Supreme Court has announced that Justice P. Scott Neville, Jr. will take over for Chief Justice Mary Jane Theis and begin serving a three-year term on Oct. 26. Neville was appointed to the state’s high court in 2018. Theis has served as chief justice since 2022, when she replaced Anne M. Burke.
