July Observed as UV Safety Month

CHICAGO — July is recognized as UV Safety Month to raise awareness about ultraviolet radiation and promote education on protecting against UV exposure. The observance is organized by Federal Occupational Health. Public health efforts during the month focus on teaching communities how to check the daily UV Index and limit direct sun exposure during peak hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
