Over the past week, gas prices in Illinois have jumped 8 cents, with the state average now at $3.44 per gallon, surpassing the national average of $3.17. Local counties are feeling the effects: DeKalb County reports an average of $3.31 per gallon, Ogle County stands at $3.19, and Lee County averages $3.06.
