PRINCETON — The Illinois State Police is releasing video of a hostage situation in May that resulted in an officer involved shooting in Bureau County. The footage shows officers on May 10th responding to a home in Princeton, where Anthony Rodriguez was armed with a knife and holding several people hostage. Officers entered the home and shots were fired. Rodriguez and a child were hit by gunfire, leaving the child dead. Rodriguez is being held in the LaSalle County Jail on charges of aggravated unlawful restraint, domestic battery and aggravated assault. No charges will be charged against the officer involved in the shooting.
