SPRINGFIELD – The results of the voting for an Illinois state flag are in. Voters had the option to choose their favorite from one of the Illinois Flag Commission’s Top 10 new designs, or to choose one of three former flag designs, including the current one. The Illinois Secretary of State’s Office has announced voters chose to keep the current flag by a wide margin. The Illinois Flag Commission will prepare a report detailing its findings and recommendations to the state’s General Assembly by April 1st.
