Illinois Presents Free Fishing Days and IDNR Junior Ranger Day at Starved Rock

SPRINGFIELD – Illinois will host Free Fishing Days from June 13 to June 16, offering anglers of all ages the chance to fish without the need for a license or stamp. This event is a great opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy fishing in Illinois’ lakes, rivers, and streams. Meanwhile, Starved Rock State Park in Oglesby will host Junior Ranger Day on June 28, from 10 AM to 2 PM Children can participate in a variety of outdoor activities, complete a Junior Ranger booklet, and earn a Junior Ranger badge. This family-friendly event will take place outside the Starved Rock Visitor Center and is free for all participants.
