Illinois Lawmakers Approve Cellphone Ban In Schools

SPRINGFIELD  —  State lawmakers are signing off on Governor Pritzker’s proposed cellphone ban in Illinois classrooms.  A measure approved yesterday by the state Senate would require all school districts and charter schools in Illinois to adopt a policy limiting the use of wireless communication devices on school grounds during the day.  Pritzker responded by saying the bipartisan support for this bill reflects the urgency educators and families across Illinois feel.  He says he looks forward to signing the legislation into law.
