Most reported incidents are based on race, religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity. The Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Illinois Commission on Discrimination and Hate Crimes have launched a multilingual outreach campaign and are working with local governments to raise awareness. The service offers anonymous reporting, support resources, and connects individuals with legal and social services.
