ROCKFORD – Home sales across Illinois dipped 3.4% in April 2025 compared to the same month last year, with 11,308 properties sold statewide, down from 11,705 in April 2024. Despite the slowdown, sales were up 15.7% from March according to IllinoisRealtors.org. The Rockford area outpaced the state with a 6.8% annual sales increase, totaling 362 homes sold, and a 13.8% rise from March. Median home prices continued to rise, reaching $310,000 statewide—a 6.2% year-over-year increase. Rockford’s median price rose 3.8% from last year to $207,500, also marking a 4.4% gain from March.
