The IHSA has released the 2026 football schedules for the upcoming season.
The first day of practice will be on Wednesday, August 5th with opening games scheduled from August 20th through the 22nd.
This year’s playoffs will have a different look. Each of the 8 classes will have 48 teams instead of 32.
The Opening Round Playoff games will be played on October 23rd and 24th with the Championship Games on November 27th and 28th at Illinois State University.
The Rochelle Hubs open up the season on Friday, August 21st with a home game against Normal U-High. It is the first time the 2 schools have played in football.

The defending Class 3A State Champion Byron Tigers also play at home on August 21st against North Boone.
