Illinois Gas Prices Jump Nearly 90 Cents In One Month

ROCHELLE — The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline in Illinois has increased by 89 cents over the past month, according to AAA. The statewide average was $4.36 on Tuesday, up from $4.20 one week earlier and $3.47 one month ago, while the national average stood at $4.14. Local averages were lower, with Ogle County at $4.19, Lee County at $4.24, and DeKalb County at $4.25.
