Illinois Gaming Board Reports $1.7 Billion in 2024 Gaming Tax Revenue

CHICAGO—The Illinois Gaming Board announced that the state and local governments collected more than $1.7 billion in gaming tax revenue in 2024. This total includes earnings from Illinois’ 16 licensed casinos, nearly 8,700 video gaming terminals, and 14 sportsbooks. The state received over $1.45 billion, while local governments earned nearly $270 million. The Board also reminded Illinois residents to gamble responsibly and to use only licensed sportsbooks.
