ROCKFORD — The Illinois Gaming Board has renewed the Hard Rock Casino Rockford license for four years, retroactive to January 2026, during its April meeting, officials said. The casino, which opened in 2021 and moved to its permanent site in 2024, was the first of the state’s expanded casino licenses approved under a 2019 gaming law. The board also approved additional casino supplier renewals, video gaming licenses, and sports wagering actions, while denying several applications. Officials also reminded licensees to follow updated advertising rules and said violations could lead to discipline.
