Illinois Crops Advance with Improved Field Conditions

CHICAGO – Illinois corn was 93% emerged and soybeans 93% planted as of June 15th, both near average. Crop conditions remained stable, with 67% of corn and 63% of soybeans rated good to excellent. Winter wheat was 99% headed and 1% harvested. Farmers had 5.2 days suitable for fieldwork, with soil moisture levels improving slightly from the previous week.
