CHICAGO – Illinois and Chicago leaders are boasting about a record-breaking summer for tourism in the city. Governor JB Pritzker announced that the investment on tourism has created 130 thousand jobs and billions of dollars in economic impact. The organization Choose Chicago has credited conventions, sporting events, festivals, concerts, as well as the restaurant scene. The group also mentions there are many events in store going into 2026 which includes the WNBA All-Star Game, the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament and the 2027 MLB All-Star Game.
