CHICAGO – Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul is urging basketball fans to use caution when betting on March Madness. Raoul encourages fans who may be filling out Brackets to be aware of the risks of unlicensed operators. Certain sports betting apps and websites are allowed to operate within the state of Illinois, but operators must be licensed by the Illinois Gaming Board and in compliance with state regulations. The state Gaming Board is cracking down on unlicensed betting operators.
