CHICAGO — Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul is part of a coalition of 12 attorneys general suing to block what they call the Trump administration’s illegal tariffs. The lawsuit challenges Trump’s executive orders calling for higher tariffs on most products worldwide. The suit claims that only Congress can lay and collect taxes, arguing the law doesn’t give the president the power to impose these tariffs.
