ROCKFORD — Rockford IceHogs President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Mark Bernard has been named the recipient of the Bruce Landon Award as the American Hockey League’s outstanding hockey operations executive for the 2025-26 season. The honor was presented Wednesday during the AHL Awards Gala at the league’s Board of Governors Annual Meeting in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Bernard continued to lead the IceHogs through personal health challenges, including a successful liver transplant in March. He also helped organize the 2026 AHL All-Star Classic in Rockford and served on the league’s collective bargaining committee during negotiations on a new agreement with the Professional Hockey Players Association.
