HILLCREST — The Village of Hillcrest Board of Trustees last Wednesday approved setting the village’s 2025 tax levy at $73,063. The ordinance certifies the amount to be raised through property taxes within village limits and will be filed with the Ogle County Clerk in accordance with state law. Officials noted the levy falls within the 105 percent threshold of the previous year, meaning no Truth in Taxation hearing was required.
