DAVIS JUNCTION — Habitat for Humanity of Ogle County hosted a house blessing and open house Sunday to celebrate the completion of its 15th home build in the county and welcome the Hintzsche family. The home was built with the help of volunteers and donors from the community in Davis Junction, with about 3,000 volunteer labor hours going into the project, the largest build for the organization. The family contributed 200 hours of sweat equity and will receive a zero interest mortgage while maintaining the property.

Kimberley Hintzsche, who will be moving into the home with her daughters, Alyna and Airael, shared her excitement, “It’s amazing. It’s such a blessing to have this opportunity and I’m so grateful for it, for my family.”
