SYCAMORE – Give DeKalb County is underway today, offering residents a chance to support 164 local nonprofits and endowment funds through online, mail-in, and in-person donations. Organized by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation, the 24-hour fundraiser has raised more than $10.7 million since 2014.
DCNP (DeKalb County Non-Profit Partnership) Director Ben Bingle said it’s a big day.
“We’re excited, donors can give all day long until midnight at givedekalbcounty.org. If you prefer to give by check, you can still do that today. We ask that your donations by mail are postmarked May 1st, but what a tremendous day of donor generosity, and we look forward to seeing what the rest of the day holds.”
Donations made today are eligible for additional funding through a Bonus Pool supported by local partners, and in-person contributions can be made from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the foundation’s office in Sycamore.
