Give DeKalb County Event Supports Local Nonprofits

SYCAMORE – Give DeKalb County is returning for another year, offering a 24-hour online giving event on May 1st to support local nonprofit organizations. Since 2014, the event has raised over $10.7 million for nonprofits in DeKalb County. Donors can contribute online from midnight to midnight, with all donations boosted by a Bonus Pool, made possible through Community Partners.

The event is coordinated by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation. DCNP (DeKalb County Non-Profit Partnership) Director Ben Bingle said any amount helps.

“So while we’re talking about millions of dollars that have been raised, we see so many donations that are $5, $10, and those dollars add up,” he said.

In addition to online donations, mail-in donations will be accepted from April 17 to May 1, 2025. Nonprofit organizations wishing to participate must be registered with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and meet eligibility requirements. Registration closes April 1, 2025.
