Free Summer Concerts Return to Mt. Morris with Weekly Shows and Special Events

MT. MORRIS — Music fans will find something to love in Mt. Morris this summer, as a packed lineup of free concerts kicks off June 11. The Kable Concert Band launches its weekly Wednesday night performances from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at the Warren G. Reckmeyer Bandshell on the Village square campus, running through July 30. Guests can enjoy classic, patriotic, Broadway, and movie tunes, with ice cream socials hosted by local groups before each show. The Mt. Morris Jamboree begins Friday, June 13, offering a range of performances every week, including tribute acts, classic rock, bluegrass, and big band jazz. Additional events include the 8th annual Porchfest on June 14, featuring over 19 local musicians performing on porches throughout town from 1 to 5 p.m. All concerts, the local art gallery, and the Mt. Morris museum are free to attend, with food and market vendors available on-site.
