HILLCREST – Syndeo Networks, a fiber optic installation company and internet provider, will be the new occupant of the former Masterbend Building on Powers Road in Hillcrest. The company is relocating from St. Charles and plans to move in over the next few months. Amit Patel from Syndeo addressed the Hillcrest Village Board last week to discuss the company’s plans for the area and why they chose Hillcrest.
“Primarily, the geographic area for our own network, as well as the opportunities currently growing in northern Illinois, made Hillcrest a prime location for us,” Patel said.
Syndeo is currently partnered with many area communities and is running fiber optic lines for high-speed internet across 73 miles of rural Ogle County, with 140 residential projects planned. Patel noted that the company plans to offer fiber internet to residents in the area in the coming months.
Syndeo intends to use the building as a base of operations for its installation crews, utilizing both the warehouse space and offices.
