SPRINGFIELD – FanDuel customers in Illinois will soon see a new fee added to each bet they place. Flutter Entertainment, FanDuel’s parent company, announced that beginning Sept. 1, it will be charging $0.50 per wager. The move comes in response to the new Illinois Transaction Fee, which takes effect July 1. Flutter CEO Peter Jackson criticized the transaction fee, saying it will push customers toward unregulated operators resulting in less state revenue.
