SYCAMORE — Ellie Bend, a graduate of Indian Creek High School, has been awarded the 2025 YEP Changemakers Scholarship, a $1,000 honor recognizing leadership and dedication to youth philanthropy. Bend served three years with Youth Engaged in Philanthropy, including as Chair during the 2024–25 program year. The scholarship is given annually to a graduating member who reflects the values of the program and is funded in memory of Kurt D. Hudson through support from his family. Recipients are chosen by a committee of YEP alumni and members of the DeKalb County Community Foundation Board.
