ASHTON — A 37-year-old Elgin woman was injured Tuesday morning after her van went off the road and overturned near East Flagg Road and South Sweeney Road, according to the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies said the van was traveling east around 9:40 a.m. when it left the roadway for unknown reasons, hit a field entrance, became airborne, and rolled twice before landing upright. The woman was treated at the scene by Ashton EMS and taken to Rochelle Community Hospital with suspected minor injuries. No citations were issued.
