OREGON – The murder trial of 42-year-old Duane Meyer, accused of killing his ex-wife and son in a 2016 house fire, has been delayed as the court considers a venue change. A hearing was held Thursday, and a decision is expected on April 23 at 3 p.m. Meyer was set to stand trial in Ogle County on February 3, but his attorney filed a motion to move the case. Meyer faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and aggravated arson, for the fire that killed Margaret Meyer, 31, and her 3-year-old son, Amos, in Byron.
