ROCHELLE — Construction work in downtown Rochelle will continue this week with curb and sidewalk removals along North Main Street. North Main Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues will be closed beginning Monday for pavement and curb removal, with the closure expected to last through the week. Parking will be restricted on the north side of Fourth Avenue between Main Street and Lincoln Highway as sidewalk and curb restoration takes place. If weather permits, Martin and Company plans to begin asphalt paving later in the week, requiring additional road closures along Fourth Avenue. Officials said downtown parking lots remain open, with additional parking available at the gravel lot at North Main Street and Fifth Avenue.
