Dombek Family Scholarship Established to Support Sycamore Seniors Committed to Community Service

SYCAMORE — The DeKalb County Community Foundation has announced the creation of the Dombek Family Community Service Scholarship Fund to support graduating seniors from Sycamore High School who have demonstrated strong character and a commitment to serving their community. Established in memory of Jim Dombek, a longtime Sycamore resident and active volunteer, the scholarship honors his legacy of service, integrity, and dedication to youth and education. Rather than focusing on academic performance, the scholarship emphasizes qualities such as honesty, leadership, and community involvement. Donations to support the fund can be made online or mailed to the DeKalb County Community Foundation.
