Dixon Structure Fire Extinguished Early Monday

DIXON — Firefighters responded early Monday to a structure fire at 1100 West 1st Street in Dixon, finding heavy smoke and flames on the west side of the residence. Multiple fire companies worked several hours to fully extinguish the fire, and the building’s occupant escaped safely before responders arrived. No civilian or first responder injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
