Dixon Selects New Emergency Notification Provider to Enhance Public Safety

DIXON – The City of Dixon and the Dixon Rural Fire Protection District have selected Hyper Reach as a new emergency notification provider, with the system expected to be operational by the end of February 2026. The service will send alerts about emergencies and hazards through phone calls, texts, emails, smart speakers, social media, and FEMA Wireless Emergency Alerts. Landline phones will be automatically enrolled, while residents must sign up to receive alerts on mobile phones, VoIP lines, or email. Enrollment is available online, by calling or texting 815-456-8008, or through the Hyper Reach Anywhere mobile app.
